Meet Ted Blanford, ACA/HIS
Theodore “Ted” Blanford, ACA, HIS is a Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist, a member of the American Conference of Audioprosthology, and a credentialed certified Tinnitus Care
Provider through the International Hearing Society.
Ted is a retired U.S. Army Master Sergeant whose 22-year military career reflects a lifetime of service, leadership, and commitment to others. He served with the 82nd Airborne Division,
flying OH-58D scout helicopters during Desert Shield and Desert Storm, and later continued his service with the National Guard as a Combat Engineer. Over the course of his military career, Ted completed four tours in Iraq, spanning from Desert Storm through Operation Iraqi Freedom 9. He also studied Medical Laboratory Science at the George Washington University School of
Medicine.
After retiring from the military, Ted continued serving people in a new way: through hearing healthcare. For 27 years, he has helped fit hearing aids and supported patients with hearing
healthcare and tinnitus care, helping thousands of people reconnect with their families, communities, and the world around them.
Ted has been married to his wife, Laura, for nearly 20 years. Together, they are raising three children at home: Cyrus, 16; Isla, 14; and Anointed, 13.
In 2026, Ted and Summit Hearing Solutions celebrate 15 years of serving Fort Wayne and the
surrounding communities. As Summit Hearing Solutions looks ahead, Ted and his team are
excited for the next 15 years of helping Fort Wayne hear better.
Meet Mark Pickman, HIS
Mark Pickerman, HIS, has been with Summit Hearing Solutions since 2019 and is dedicated to helping patients achieve their best hearing outcomes.
He especially enjoys working through complex cases and finding solutions for patients who may have struggled elsewhere. His goal is to provide personalized care and help every patient experience the benefits of better hearing.
When he's not in the clinic, Mark enjoys spending time with his family of five and staying involved in the many activities that keep them busy.
