How to Connect Your Audibel Hearing Aids to Auracast™
Hear the sound you want more clearly—right through your hearing aids.
Auracast™ is a new Bluetooth® technology that allows compatible Audibel hearing aids to connect directly to audio broadcasts from TVs, public address systems and other Auracast-enabled devices.
As Auracast becomes available in more locations, you may be able to use your hearing aids to hear airport announcements, televisions at the gym, presentations, theater audio and more—all streamed directly to your ears.
How to Connect to an Auracast Broadcast
If your Audibel hearing aids support Auracast, connecting to an available broadcast is easy.
Step 1: Open the My Audibel App
-
Open the My Audibel app on your smartphone.
-
Make sure your hearing aids are turned on and connected to the app.
Step 2: Find Auracast Broadcasts
-
From the My Audibel app, open the Accessories section and select Auracast™ broadcasts.
-
Your phone will search for available Auracast broadcasts nearby.
Step 3: Choose the Broadcast You Want to Hear
-
Available broadcasts will appear on your screen, similar to choosing an available Wi-Fi network.
-
Select the broadcast you want to listen to.
-
Some private broadcasts may require a password provided by the venue.
Step 4: Start Listening
-
Once connected, the audio from the Auracast broadcast can stream directly to your compatible Audibel hearing aids.
-
You can continue using your hearing aids normally while enjoying clearer access to the audio you want to hear.

Not sure where to start? Audibel provides a short step-by-step video showing how to use the Auracast Assistant with compatible Audibel hearing aids.
Where Can You Use Auracast?
Think of Auracast a little like Wi-Fi for sound. Instead of trying to hear a distant speaker or television through the room, compatible audio can be sent directly to your hearing aids.
As more businesses and public spaces add Auracast technology, you may encounter it in places such as:
-
Airports and transportation centers
-
Theaters and auditoriums
-
Houses of worship
-
Gyms and fitness centers
-
Conference and meeting spaces
-
Museums and attractions
-
Waiting rooms
-
Restaurants and sports bars
-
Auracast-enabled televisions and other personal devices
Auracast is still being introduced in many locations, so an Auracast broadcast may not always be available.
What Makes Auracast Different From Regular Bluetooth?
Traditional Bluetooth usually creates a private connection between two devices—for example, connecting your hearing aids to your smartphone.
Auracast works differently.
An Auracast-enabled device can broadcast audio that multiple compatible listeners can access at the same time. When a broadcast is available, you can select the audio you want to hear and have it delivered directly through your hearing aids.
This can make it much easier to hear important audio in busy or noisy environments.
Are My Audibel Hearing Aids Compatible With Auracast?
Auracast requires compatible Audibel hearing aids and compatible devices.
If you don't see the Auracast option in your My Audibel app, that does not necessarily mean something is wrong with your hearing aids. Your hearing aid model, smartphone, software and the device providing the broadcast can all affect availability.
